We love a good rain, but we agree that we need to take full advantage of the warmth and blue skies when we have it! Bumbershoot: Seattle Music Festival
A true last hoorah to summer – get ready to rock out to all types of music at one of the biggest events Seattle hosts. This multi-day fest is a popular annual music festival in Seattle that celebrates the end of summer around the end of August every year. Bumbershoot is always held at the Seattle Center and understands that Seatown locals have music preferences that span across the board. With the seemingly endless lineup of household names and hidden gem bands, there is sure to be someone exciting to see no matter what your music taste is. Movies at the Mural
Experience FREE movies outdoors – can you think of a better way to spend your Saturday night? These movies are held at the Seattle center and play through August. Picnic on the gently sloping Mural Amphitheatre lawn, in front of a state-of-the-art 40-foot screen, with the Space Needle looming above. The series features popular movies, both classic and contemporary, appropriate for all ages. Movies at the Mural is a truly classic way for adults and kids alike to enjoy an awesome summer night in Seattle.
Free Orchestra at the Locks
Who says that classical music is just for grandparents? I mean… there will e a lot of grandparents but only because they know how to have a good time! There isn’t a better way to enjoy a late summer evening than sitting at the Ballard locks listening to one of several local music groups that perform free concerts for locals. Grab a blanket, snag a spot with a good view of the rose gardens and be transported back to simpler times with some great classical music and good vibes all around.
