#1 – Peddler Brewing

  • Recommended Beer: Tangerine Hefeweizen
  • While Peddler is certainly brewery heaven for bikers, anyone is welcome to join the fun.  The beer garden is equipped with games and TV, and the ambiance is one perfect for a casual afternoon with your friends.  Peddler hosts outdoor movie nights in the summer and the Astronomy on Tap series all year round. These events are free of charge, so there’s no reason not to enjoy them!

#2 – Reuben’s Brews

  • Recommended Beer: Summer IPA
  • If you were stranded on a desert isle for a week and you would still rather drink an IPA over water, than Reuben’s brews is the place for you! This IPA heaven knows that Seattle likes their beers hoppy. The bright and open indoor/outdoor setup of the brewery adds an easy and carefree environment to enjoy a good pint. This joint is dog friendly, kid friendly, annd just overall friendly.

Lucky Envelope

#3 – Lucky Envelope Brewing

  • Recommended Beer: Helles Lager, Rasberry Sour
  • Looking for a place to spend a great afternoon? Head down to Lucky Envelope brewing for hours of board games, dog petting, and sipping some great brews. If you want to switch it up from the IPA heavy breweries around, LEB offers great lagers and sours. The environment is casual, quieter, and very open with a garage door welcoming you in!

#4 – Bad Jimmy’s Brewing

  • Recommended Beer: Cucumber Lime Blonde
  • Description: If you are looking for a weird but delicious brew, Bad Jimmy’s isn’t afraid to take a risk. Their beers are creative and always have a flavor that looks bizarre but turns out to be surprisingly delicious. We really like the vibe of this place as it is very open and airy and they have patio seating. It’s the hangout you always just end up going to, no matter how much you say you will branch out!

#5 – Lagunitas Brewing

  • Recommended Beer:
  • Lagunitas beer is not for the faint of heart; you have to love real flavor.  While Lagunitas can’t fall in the realm of a “local Seattle brewery,” that doesn’t mean they should be overlooked – The space really lends itself well to large groups coming in to enjoy an evening.  The place is set up well with a good amount of seating, a small stage to work with, a patio area, as well as a pool table.
